Presentation 2 -lizette

My Personal thoughts on Presentation 2 why our elections matter to us in our democracy by , Group 3 which did immigration and law and order, Group 2 which did racial divide and economy and lastly Group 1 which did education and health care. First starting with Group 3 (my group), since we presented first. For the first group to present and being the smallest group of them all I believe that we did a phenomenal job. We organized the PowerPoint very well and discussed multiple topics. At the beginning we had trouble with sharing the screen as I had issues with my mic and camera. So we had a bit of a late start but after that issue was resolved the slides were explained with very minimal problems. I believe I made a very detailed introduction naming all the topics, a short description of them and by who they were going to be presented by. Naydne a former student in our class had dropped out so i took her position on the slides talking about  the history of anti-immigration laws which was a list of laws that were against immigration. I discussed from 1700s to 2000s history of anti immigration laws. Sadly after i finish my topic, Melany did not show up to class that day so we skipped her slides on statistics and went to the next student presenting which was Melody. Melody did her slides on how laws affect citizens and citizenship. I believe she did a great job explaining even more that what was just on her slides, in other words she was very knowledgeable about her topic. Next up was Mya on citizenship, all  in all she should us what it is and how to acquire it very well. After Mya's part it was Nicole's and the immigration laws in the part, which was very similar to my topic but yet we managed to cover two completely different bases. Priscila was next, her topic was on immigration laws now, which i think she went very in depth with. Next was Tyler on the comparison of immigration and I'm always very impressed with Tyler, he is always the first to get his work done and yet with good quality. After Tyler was Yeni and her topic was on the government, and with such a broad topic I think she went into such good detail. Coming close to the end of the presentation was Lila on the views of the government and i think she did great job discussing how its affecting our politics today.  Lastly was Marcia on the recap and outro as well as the brochure and i believe she did great presenting everyone's topics one last time and closing up the presentation.

As a listener for group 2 doing the presentation on what matters to us in our democracy with the subtopics of  racial divide and economy, i don't like that this presentation doesn't have who is presenting at the moment but it is in my opinion the best on organization, topics, and so starting off with the brochure I really liked how it was picture based. i really enjoyed how government spends money slide was explained it was very educational. The next few slides were on the history of the American economy which showed a list of times/laws. Next few slides were on overviews of money in American politics which i think was also very informational. After those slides it was America vs. the world: economy, which talked about how America was handling and managing the money compared to other countries. After the economy section of the presentation was the racial divide section, starting off by explaining what it is. Then explaining local and national associations and organizations. After that set of slides was racial divide on a national scale explaining how it is happening worldwide. Overall this was one of my favorites as of presentations, I think Kevin is an amazing leader and role model to the other participants. I believe that the work was split evenly and fairly even if there wasn't people who didn't work as hard as others. Kevin i think is always very present and and will always be a great leader.

The Last group to showcase was group 1, i think this group did really great however i did not like the negativity from certain group participants in this group, they were distressed that they had to do another persons part of the presentation however that will always happen every presentation its it the group leaders responsibility to make sure everyone is doing there part and if not to find someone else to do it if not themselves. I sympathize with this person however i did not like the negativity. But proceeding with the presentation on why our elections matters to us in our democracy with subtopics on education and healthcare. Firstly i want to mention that i don't like that this group also didn't show who was presenting the slides. first starting off with what is healthcare, demonstrated very well as well as types of healthcare including Beveridge model, national health insurance model, Bismarck mode, and out of pocket model. Next was the interview which i thought was cool, i would've loved to see maybe a phone call recording or video but nonetheless I thought the interview was amazing. After the interview was the types of education which i enjoyed to see how education is developed differently. After that slide the the slides were about division between low and high income areas in education and healthcare. I genuinely thought this topic was very interesting how much education can affect the development of an area and loved to see that they incorporated this part of education development in areas to the presentation. The next slides show the opposite of lack of education affecting an area, these slides where titled effects of growing up in an impoverished area, and how does poverty affect your future, i really love seeing these slides as i think this topic is very interesting and enjoyed the video they had put of the corresponding slides. Next they recapped high income areas. overall i thought the presentation was very interesting and a little unorganized by amount of work per person but i thought it was very interesting.
