As a listener to all of the presentations that were given throughout class I was very drawn in by the creativity, thoughtfulness, and inclusivity that each and every group put into their slides. Each group had their own take on the chapters and information that was given in the book. As the first presentation that was given in this class every group put in their part and participated in making the slides and presentation in general look amazing overall. As for the first presentation, they were the first group to present and dove in head first without an example of how it should be done. This showed that they were prepared and had extensive knowledge of the information that was presented. They worked together and had cohesive thoughts that aligned as the slides continued. The work flowed as one even though the work was done by many different people. Their point on intercultural communication educated the class as they talked about points such as diversity, communication, and all types of cultured and how they can communicate as one. Given that they were the first group to present, they took most of the pressure off of the rest of the class but with such ease. Each and every one of the students that were a part of group one spoke their piece with knowledge and understanding of what they read throughout their given chapters. Their presentation gave everyone a good example of how presenting for the class should be done and how our slide presentation should be laid out. They included many pictures with bullet points to go off of and keep track of what was going on in each section that was shown. Within their explanations they touched base upon difficult and controversial topics such as sexuality, race, and ethnicity. Their presentation overall was well rounded and very well executed.
Then group two was up to present, they had more words to go off of on their slides than group one did but still had enough pictures to create a visual representation of what they would be talking about as they explained their bullet points. At some points of the presentation it was shown that they were not the most prepared group out of all of them but they were able to get their point across at the end which is all that really matters.By adding more words to the slides it made it easier for them to just read off the slide instead of just putting keywords and having to go off of what you remember from the chapter off of just those words. They carried on to talk about how their can be different types of groups when it comes to making communication groups. They gave examples of the groups and how they could work together to communicate within them. They talked about Support groups and how they are used to help people in need that might not have support at home so they might like to go speak to the support group. They also explained that there are also groups like social groups. Some examples of social groups are book clubs, some book clubs can include maybe mothers that gather as a social group to spend time together and socialize with each other to spend some time away from their kids. With different groups come different types of people and conversations between them. A cooperate group is very different than a social group because of their formalities. Group two explained the different types of groups using words and pictures which explaining what they learned from the chapter very well.
I was part of group three which had the opportunity of sharing what we learned based off of chapter ten. At the beginning we took some time to split up the chapter between all of us in the group but at the end everyone understood what the assignment was and how the slides would have to look like. Within our chats we helped each other and kept in loop with what was going on. Not only because it was my group but I thought that we worked very well together, we were all very prepared and had our slides ready to go with pictures and bullet points that would help up explain what each of our sections were about. We each also put our names on the corners of the slides which made it easier as each person went on so that the rest of the class and the professor knew who was next to present. Our slides were cohesive and brought chapter ten together throughout each slide. We kept our words to a minimum within our slides and focused on the visual aspect of the project. Many people are visual learners so we leaned more into that by including more pictures or videos than words. Some people in our group included youtube videos that helped the class better understand what our presentation was about as well as the specific topic that the presenter was talking about. With including outside source videos it showed how we took the time to find the video, watch it, and make sure that it went along with the chapter and the section that was being covered. By putting in that extra effort it showed that we understood the chapter and how the professor wanted the presentation to go on.
As a conclusion each and every group presenting did an amazing job, everyone was able to get their point access well and share what they learned. They executed their slides with ease and we’re able to show not only the class but the professor as well that not only did they learn what the chapter was about but that we could also teach it to others if we needed to. By teaching the material, it shows that we have a very strong understanding of what the book is trying to teach us and what the professor teaches during class. As a class I think we all did a great job and we should all be proud of ourselves.

Very good post! I agree! Everyone should be proud.
